"My Plans for the Summer"

Although the semester is over, there is still a lot that I must accomplish before the next semester begins. I plan on taking 7 hours at Hinds and also going back to work at the International House of Pancakes. I will also be moving into my new apartment o August the first. I am so excited about theses next few months and I'm hoping to be better than I am today. Hopefully, next semester is going to be very laid back for me, and I will have time to spend more time with myself and getting to know myself better than I did this semester.

"Its Over"

My last week of class has finally arrived. I never thought that it would come, but it finally did. Overall this has been a long and stressful semester, but I finally made it. Somethings worked in my favor this semester, and other things worked against me. I'm hoping that next semester will be much better for me than this one. My history teacher kind of screwed me over and had me thinking he was going to give me a WP, but in the end he just gave me an F for the entire class. However, I worked hard trying to meet his expectations, but it failed. I will continue to pray for him, and I am going to continue on my journey of becoming a Nurse.

"The End of the Semester"

In about two more weeks, I will be finally done. Slowly some things are beginning to work out for me. My history teacher is trying to work with me and help me to receive a WP instead of a WF. So this is an even that I am really happy about. In addition, I am also excited that I finally got my schedule together for next semester and I realize that its going to be very easy for me. Although, sometimes I get very stressed and discouraged, I really do love Southern Miss and I enjoy being here!!!

It's Almost Here

After this up coming week, classes will no longer be going on. I am so ready for my summer to begin. However, I am going to miss all of my friends that will be going home for the summer too, but we will be back before we know it. I am also excited about the new apartment that I will be getting in August. My life is on a path to a new beginning and I am really excited about it. If all goes well, I should be applying for Nursing School in October. I am just so full off life and enjoying every moment of it!!!

"Easter Break is Here"

For some reason, I let this break sneak up on me and I did not know that it would be here so soon. However, I am happy about it because I really needed another break. The semester in coming to an end quickly, which leaves me with not much time to get ready for finals. Some of my classes this semester have been a breeze, while others have been like climbing up a mountain. In addition. I am also in the process of having to drop my History 102 course because I am nowhere close to passing the course. Therefore, the professor is trying to help me to raise my grade in order to get a WP. Even though the semester is almost over, I know that there is hope for me and I am not going to give up!!!

"I'm About to Loose My Mind"

As the semester comes to an end, I am excited and also sad at the same time.  I am not doing too well in my History 102 course and it's too late for me to drop it without getting a withdrawal while passing or failing.  At this point in time I am actually failing and there is nothing that I can do to pass.  I tried talking with the professor, but he does not have any sympathy for me at all!!!  I don't know what to do.  I really don't want to have an F on my transcript because I am an "ALL STAR" and I don't normally make grades like this lol.  However, I believe that I will make it through this no matter what.......

"It's Over"!!!

I had so much fun over the Spring Break and I hate that it had to end. I have never been on trip and had so much fun in my entire life. Unfortunately, the fun had to end when I had to return back to this campus. However, I only have about six more weeks of misery. It seems as if i have been in school for forever and I am so ready for it to be all over. Moreover, I have to go to summer school so it's like I'm not actually getting a full break. But as far as school is concerned, I think that I am doing pretty good this semester. Even though, I hate my history class, I'm hoping that things turn out OK in the end. Well... that's all for this week. BYE!!!

"It's Finally Here"

Today is the day that I have been anticipating for awhile now. Spring Break has finally arrived. I am finally able to get some rest and a break from this crazy university. Beginning on Wednesday March 18, 2009, I will be in Panama City enjoying the beach parties and the wind blowing through my hair. I have never been on a trip like this without my family and I am hoping that this will be a great experience for me and my friends. However, I will be spending at least five days with my family before my departure to Panama City. Overall I believe that this is going to be a wonderful break and I am going to enjoy it to the fullest.

"IT'S ALMOST HERE"!!!!

THERE IS ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL I GET OUT FOR SPRING BREAK AND I CAN'T WAIT. HOWEVER, I HAVE TWO REALLY BIG EXAMS ON THE WEEK LEADING UP TO MY DEPARTURE FROM THIS SCHOOL. I CAN'T FOCUS AND I AM AFRAID THAT THIS WILL CAUSE ME TO NOT DO SO WELL ON MY EXAMS, BUT I AM GOING TO STAY FOCUSED AND HAVE FAITH IN GOD THAT I WILL DO OK NO MATTER WHAT. IN ADDITION, I FINALLY GOT MY GRADE BACK FOR MY VERY FIRST ENGLISH PAPER IN ENG 102. I RECEIVED AN A ON IT AND IT HAS ME VERY MOTIVATED TO MAKE HIGH ACHIEVEMENTS IN MY OTHER 4 CLASSES. OVERALL, MY CLASSES ARE NOT HARD, BUT I JUST HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO MANAGE MY TIME BETTER AND DEDICATE AN EQUAL AMOUNT OF TIME TO EACH CLASS.

"Nothing New"

For once I finally got a relaxed week!!! However, I did have a history test on Wednesday night, but I didn't stress about it because I knew that I would have time to study for it due to the Maridi Gras holiday. In addition, I also got a chance to go to Mardi Gras for the first time. I admit, that I did have a lot of fun just hanging out with my friends, but I don't understand why so many people go crazy about Maridi Gras. I am still awaiting SPRING BREAK and I wish it would hurry up because I am about to loose my mind. I really need a break ASAP!!! Well, that's all for this week......

"SOMEONE LOVES ME"

This past weekend was Valentine's weekend. However, I was required to volunteer at the Coca-Cola Classic Rodeo for my job on Valentine's Day. I almost went crazy because this would be the second Valentine's Day that me and my boyfriend would spend together due to the fact that he was deployed the first two years of our relationship. However, I was able to leave the rodeo around 8pm and my boyfriend was just making it to Hattiesburg around that time. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner together and afterwards we exchanged gifts. We didn't do too much but just being around each other on such a special day made it the best day ever!!! I love my boyfriend dearly and hopefully we will be spending many more Valentine's together!!!

What A Week!!!

My weeks are always busy so there is really nothing new for this week. I took my first history quiz and it didn't go so well. I also got my grade back for my Human Anatomy and Physiology test and that didn't go too well either. As a result, I have decided to dedicate all of my free time to the library because it is the only place that can help me to become successful. In addition, I have to volunteer at the Rodeo on Valentine's Day!!! However, me and my boo are still going to celebrate no matter what!!! I am so ready for Spring Break to come cause I really need a break and I feel like I have been in school all year!!!

Here We Go Again!!!

I guess I am beginning to face the fact that my weeks are not going to get any easier. This week I had two very important tests and it was also my birthday week. Although it was my 20th birthday I was not able to celebrate it as much as I wanted to because I knew that I wanted to be very successful on my exams. However, my boyfriend gave me a wonderful surprise on Saturday night. He, my mother, and my sister came all the way from Jackson, Ms to a surprise dinner that he had planned for me. He also had my closest friends to invite all of my new friends that I have made since I have been in college. Even though this week was very crazy for me, I really enjoyed it and I honestly wouldn't change it for nothing in the world!!! I love my life!!!

LONG WEEK!!!

This week has been an extremely long one for me. During this time, I was able to get a feel of what a regular week would be like for the rest of my semester. I have a lot going on this semester and I just hop that everything works out well for me. I am a receptionist at the Payne Center, I teach a Hip Hop Aerobics Class, I am a full time student, and I participate in numerous organizations and community services whenever I have the time. However, I strongly believe in the saying, "Hard Work Will Pay Off in the End".

To Everyone: My birthday is on Monday February 2, 2009. I will be 20 years old. YAY ME!!!!

My thoughts on the Inauguration

In my opinion, I thought that the Inauguration was amazing. This was the very first time that I actually took the time out to watch something like this. Usually when something is on television about the president, I do not take the time to watch it. However, on Inauguration Day there was something special that caught my eye. There were so many people there to support Barack Obama and the happy look on his face made me feel really warm inside. I am so happy about our new president and I can't see what new changes he has for America!!!
